Rebalancing the Immune-Hormonal-Metabolic Axis in Menopause: A Case Study in Precision Health
Event Description
Perimenopause presents a critical window for women’s health, particularly when hormone changes intersect with immune dysregulation and metabolic shifts.
This case study explores a 51-year-old female patient who presented with a recent diagnosis of an autoimmune condition, fatigue, chronic pain, weight concerns, and a desire to age well and maintain hormone balance. Despite being fit, health-conscious, and active, she experienced symptoms trending toward chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
A precision health approach was used, integrating DNA testing, gut and toxin assessments, and symptom mapping to personalise care. The protocol focused on modulating immune activity, supporting hormone balance, and optimising metabolic function. The patient achieved significant symptom reduction and avoided immunosuppressive medication previously recommended. This case highlights how early intervention and personalisation can shift the trajectory of chronic disease, improve quality of life, and support healthy ageing.
